Sunday Worship Services

Service of Prayer and Preaching at 9:00am

Festival Service at 11am

There’s a first time for everything. If it’s your first time to attend Christian Worship, don’t worry – our welcome is wide, and you’ll be invited to participate as you feel comfortable. You can expect to find people of all kinds, dressed all kinds of ways, worshipping all kinds of ways. Some of us are quiet, and some of us like to clap and raise our hands. We are all ages and abilities, so our morning services have something for everyone.

We believe that Worship is our response to a loving God, which means that everything we do can be considered Worship. When we gather on Sunday morning, we believe that we come to celebrate – our services typically include songs, prayers, readings from and interpretation of Scripture (the Bible). Some Sundays we have special celebrations like the Ritual of Baptism or Reception of New Members. The first Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion (also called Eucharist, or The Lord’s Supper) – we practice and “open table,” which means that all are welcome to receive the bread and juice in remembrance of the story of Jesus.

Our two services are similar in order; at our 9:00am Meditation and Reflection Service you’ll find a smaller group and a more intimate time of prayer and Communion; at our 11:00am Festival Service, you’ll find a bit more music and a crowd…but there is always room for you!

Large print hymnals and large print bulletins are available from the ushers.

We hope to see you soon!

Holy Communion

1st & 3rd Sunday of each month at the 9:00 Service of Prayer and Preaching. 1st Sunday of each month at the 11:00 am Festival Service. Christ’s table is open to all who wish to receive communion at Broadway.

(As part of our celebration of Holy Communion, we receive an offering of nonperishable food. The local area food pantries and shelters distribute that food. Broadway has been asked to consider particularly gifts of Spam or canned meats. Those gifts provide quick access to protein for folks who are on the street. "As we are fed, so we are called to feed.")

Children of all ages are welcome in worship. When children need a break, parents can take them to our unstaffed nursery room next to the Sanctuary.

We invite school-age children to participate in our morning worship with us, as well as to participate in Unique Spirit Children's Choir at 10:15am (during the school year) and our 11:15am Children's Education Time.
