The Broadway Choir

Thursday evening rehearsal at 7:00pm, Sunday warm up at 10am

The adult choir at BUMC sings most Sundays and usually performs one anthem per week. We have a Christmas concert each year as well as several other special performances/festivals/projects, which in past years have included a carols and readings on All Saints Sunday, a special commissioned work on 9/11 and a recording.

There is no audition process, as we have all types of singers in the group, from those that are still learning about their voices, to those who studied music in college and graduate school. We are looking for folks to make a commitment and have strong regular attendance.

We sing mostly in English, though have done Spanish, Latin, and Zulu in past years. The choir loves singing gospel and spirituals, but is equally at home with modern sacred anthems, musical theater, folk music and works of various other genres.
