Dear Broadway community,
Easter is over, folks, now what? For some this is a struggle! But, here is what I think:
Beloved, look around you. You will definitely be able to see signs of life, signs of hope -- if you have plants, or just look out your window to the trees -- you can see new life birthing. If you look up in the sky you might see birds migrating -- bringing us signs of spring. If you listen to the news of all the ways in which people have been caring for one another, checking on neighbors, sharing, and volunteering, you will be reminded of the hope we can place on humanity! Friends -- let us hang on to hope -- that this pandemic will one day be over and we will experience resurrection together -- until then, be safe and let us continue to stay connected with each other via texts, calls and zoom. Remember --
Beloved, let us continue to move forward -- doing all we can to continue to flatten the curve. God bless you and I hope to see you at church. May God give all of us the strength we need for each day to do the work that we are called to do. And remember, I am always your partner in justice.
