BROADWAY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

UPCOMING EVENTS

SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON CHURCH ACTIVITIES

Your church leadership has decided to SUSPEND in-person church activities, effective November 5, 2020.  Please see below for how to join us remotely via Zoom.

BROADWAY'S REOPENING PLAN

Please click here to read the "Broadway Reopening Plan" document. We ask that you please look at it and follow the guidelines whenever you plan to come to the building. We will continue to offer worship online until we are ALL able to be in the building, which means until we find a vaccine and it is available to ALL people -- medical experts estimate that to be sometime in 2021.

COMMUNION AT HOME

Not able to attend in person but would still like to partake in communion? We will be using individually pre-packaged cups. We are delivering communion cups to members who will not attend worship in person. Please sign up here for communion sets to be delivered to you.

We have a small parking lot off of Buckingham to the rear of the church that you are welcome to use when attending church functions. There is also metered parking and street parking nearby, but please note permit parking restrictions. The 36 bus stops near our front door, and we are about a 10-15 minute walk from either the Belmont or Addison el stations. You can get driving directions or public transportation options here. Our building is accessible at both entrances and we have a lift to our basement area. Other questions? Please feel free to contact us at 773-348-3679 or by email!

BROADWAY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION SUNDAY

On the first Sunday of every month, Communion and Community Sunday, Broadway celebrates God’s expansive welcome with a communion service, welcoming all to God’s table. We also use this opportunity to do some special celebrations of the Broadway community—celebrating birthdays for the upcoming month and giving a special welcome to visiting friends and family. We will continue to celebrate visitors every Sunday, but we especially encourage the Broadway congregation to use Communion and Community Sundays as a chance to issue a special invitation to friends and family to join us in celebrating that we are all beloved children of God.
