Beloveds, this week, while we continue in the Easter season, we also prepare for the activities of PRIDE parade! This year, like every year, the Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches, will participate in the Parade and this year again Broadway will host the Pride Worship for the coalition! In addition to the pride events, here is how the month looks for us-
This Sunday (June 8) is Pentecost Sunday- so all are invited to wear red or orange for worship.
Next Sunday (June 15) we will celebrate the baptism of Benjamin Denler and officially welcome his dad, Rob Denler, into the membership of the church.
June 22nd, we will ‘worship in the yard’ and participate in some activities in caring for our earth- as directed by our green team.
June 29th is PRIDE SUNDAY! We will have our Ecumenical worship at 9:30am, in the yard, weather permitting, and will be joined by people from many participating churches.

Speaking of help- last week we shared Broadway UMC’s logo with you and invited you to give us suggestions of rebranding, if you feel our current logo is not fully reflective of who we are!
Friends, our church can only be as active as you are willing! I always welcome your ideas and your commitment to facilitate those actions/activities! There are several such plans underway, and I am grateful for those who are willing to give their time- as they are finalized we will share with you. What ideas do you have? Let me know!
