This past Sunday we discussed the two most important commandments, and how they can be summed up by saying love God, love neighbor, and love self. But I know for me, sometimes it’s hard to love myself, and I’m sure some of you feel that way too. So how can we get better at loving ourselves?
I did a quick Google search and saw lists of things to do, like not focusing on negative things in your life or saying nice things about yourself in a mirror. And while I’m sure these things may help, sometimes I’m too discouraged to even try. When I’m struggling with my own self-worth, I remember that I am beautifully and wonderfully created by God. God made me who I am with all my cracks and quirks. Yeah, I make mistakes sometimes, but God loves me no matter what. Remember, friends, God loves you and there’s nothing you could do or say to change that. God loves you as you are.
