I’d like to invite you to a Housing Crisis Teach-In with ONE Northside. ONE Northside is one of our community partners for creating change in the world, and works on many local issues including housing. Please join I and ONE Northside in the sanctuary on 4/28 at 7pm to learn more about housing insecurity in Chicago and what we can do about it.
As I preached about this last Palm Sunday, we are a group project. None of us can make it alone, even Jesus’ work wasn’t and isn’t done alone. Housing insecurity is one issue that we can see up front and close in our neighborhood, whether it be Ziggy who used to sit on our stoop, or Anderson who sits most days in front of Walgreens. Charity is commendable, but let’s talk about how we can dig in deeper than that and find ways to create more housing in Chicago!
