Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I hope to see you at the candlelight Christmas Eve service tomorrow at 4:30pm. This is a special time that I look forward to every year and I believe that this will be a beautiful moment to share together in the miracle of the holiday. We’ve been working hard to prepare for this time together, and I hope to see you there!
On Sunday evening, we had a very touching Blue Christmas service, which was an opportunity to sit in a more somber space. There is a lot to be joyful for, but there is also a lot to grieve, and this was a loving container for that sadness.
Know that whether you are feeling jubilation, or loss, or both, God loves you. God sent his child to live among us, God sent the sacred into this world for the good of all, because God understands all of our needs. You are blessed, no matter how the holidays feel to you.
