Hello everybody!
I'm writing to you today with a special opportunity.
We will be making sandwiches for the Night Ministry! According to their website, the Night Ministry is an organization that "compassionately provides housing, health care, outreach, spiritual care, and social services to adults and youth who struggle with homelessness, poverty, and loneliness." They also provide food to these same folks. We need donations for food items as well as volunteers to help us assemble the lunches at 9:30am on April 2nd. To donate, click here and in the memo, write "food prep for Night Ministry." To volunteer, please put your name and phone number into this form.
God has a special place in her heart for people who are experiencing challenges such as homelessness, poverty and isolation. We are asked, as people of faith, to care for those among us who are suffering and in need. Luke 3: 10-11 reads, "What should we do then?" the crowd asked. John answered, "Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same." The directive is clear: share what you have with those who have less!
Volunteering your time or donating for supplies for these Night Ministry lunches is one way to put your faith into action. I hope you consider joining us on April 2nd, or sending in a donation!
