Hi Broadway Family,
My time with you is coming to a close, and I'm beginning to prepare my final sermons at Broadway.
I will be preaching on both 5/21, and 5/28. 5/28, as my last service with you, is also Pentecost. Robert and I have been planning the music for that day, as I will be singing as part of my sermon just as I sang in my January sermon. I hope that you can join us in worship both of those Sundays.
I am also wrapping up my time teaching the twins. We have been recently revisiting favorite past Sunday School lessons. For example, if you were in the building this last Sunday, you would have seen a path of ribbon leading all around the building, taped to the floor. During our lesson, we followed that path, which opened to talking together about following Jesus' path of love. This coming Sunday, we will revisit the twins' all-time-favorite lesson, the baking soda and vinegar volcano. My last time teaching Sunday School will be 5/21, when Lee will be bringing their snake back to say hello to the kids again. It has been a joy discussing God, God's creations, and Jesus with the kids, they are delightful learners and eager to talk about deep theological topics.
If you'd like to go out for coffee with me one last time as intern, there is time! Please feel free to reach out to me.
I have learned so much in my time here with you, and I feel very blessed to have been part of this loving community. I will continue saying goodbye over the next few weeks, but know that I will always carry you in my heart, and will always be grateful for the lessons learned here with you!
In the meantime, be blessed! Enjoy this warm weather, and remember to continue contemplating God's love in your heart and in the world.
