Tenant Organizing Training

I wanted to invite you to my Tenant Organizing Training, Monday 11/18 from 6-8pm at The Institute of Cultural Affairs (4750 N Sheridan Rd). We will be going over tenant rights and organizing basics. This is a great opportunity for folks who want to  learn how to get started organizing with their neighbors and a chance to meet other community members interested in building tenant power from across the northside. GETTING TO BROADWAY CHURCH​​​​​​​

We have a small parking lot off of Buckingham to the rear of the church that you are welcome to use when attending church functions. There is also metered parking and street parking nearby, but please note permit parking restrictions. The 36 bus stops near our front door, and we are about a 10-15 minute walk from either the Belmont or Addison el stations. You can get driving directions or public transportation options here. COMMUNITY & CONNECTION SUNDAY

On the first Sunday of every month, Communion and Community Sunday, Broadway celebrates God’s expansive welcome with a communion service, welcoming all to God’s table. We also use this opportunity to do some special celebrations of the Broadway community—celebrating birthdays for the upcoming month and giving a special welcome to visiting friends and family. We will continue to celebrate visitors every Sunday, but we especially encourage the Broadway congregation to use Communion and Community Sundays as a chance to issue a special invitation to friends and family to join us in celebrating that we are all beloved children of God.
