• Growing up I was a voracious reader, but now that I’m in grad school, I hardly have time to read for fun. Recently though, I’ve been able to start reading a little more, and it has kept me grounded. I figured some of you are probably finding yourselves reading a little more often than you usually do, so I thought I’d take a moment to share with you some of my favorite books as well as a few of Monica’s (my girlfriend). Many of these are available on Kindle.


  • Today, for some reason, I am feeling the weight of this pandemic more than ever -- a friend shared their elderly friend tested positive, a member of a neighboring church went to the hospital with fever (roommate is positive), a rehab center in the neighborhood has had more than 10 COVID related deaths, the jails, the nursing homes and the list goes on. 


  • Easter is over, folks, now what? For some this is a struggle! But, here is what I think: Yes, the celebration of Easter day is over, but Easter has just begun, because you see every day after resurrection is Easter (liturgically we are in Easter-tide or Easter season).
